UAE Jobseeker Visa Requirements (60, 90 or 120 Days)

A jobseeker visit visa can help you interview in the UAE, but it is not a work permit.

The UAE Government lists a single-entry visa for people exploring employment opportunities. The current page describes 60-, 90- and 120-day options, eligibility requirements and the documents used for the application. Check the official service before travelling because eligibility and issuing channels can change.

The eligibility checklist

The official criteria include one of these routes:

  • a professional in the first, second or third skill level under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation classification; or
  • a recent graduate of one of the best 500 universities under the approved classification.

Applicants also need a bachelor's degree or equivalent and the prescribed financial guarantee. These are eligibility gates, not a promise that a job will be found during the visit.

Documents to prepare

The UAE Government lists a colour photograph, a passport copy and an attested qualification certificate. Keep digital copies with consistent names, and verify whether the issuing authority asks for additional information for your nationality or application channel.

How to use the visa safely

  1. Apply through the official ICP or GDRFA service linked from the UAE Government page.
  2. Apply to real vacancies before you travel. Browse live official-source UAE jobs.
  3. Put your visa status and expiry date in your CV and recruiter messages.
  4. Never start work, pay a “release fee” or hand over your passport because a recruiter says the visa requires it.
  5. Keep a return or next-step plan before the visa expires.

What it does not do

A jobseeker visa does not guarantee an offer, change an employer's hiring requirements or authorise employment by itself. Once an employer selects you, ask for the written offer and confirm the work-permit process before resigning, travelling for a start date or paying anyone.

Quick answers

How long is a UAE jobseeker visa valid?

The official UAE Government page describes single-entry jobseeker visit visas with 60-, 90- or 120-day validity options, subject to the applicable service rules.

Do I need a job offer before applying for a jobseeker visa?

No. The visa is designed for exploring job opportunities without a host or sponsor, but it does not replace an employer-sponsored work permit.

Can I work on a jobseeker visit visa?

No. Treat it as permission to search and interview. Start work only after the employer completes the correct work-permit and status process.
