FITTER - MECHANICAL

1. Maintenance fault diagnosis and repair, including systematic strip down and re-building of mechanical equipment’s and components relating to, but not limited to, cranes, winches, pumps, compressors, valves, machine tools and other similar plants.
2. Ensure for the spare required in advance to reduce the procurement of the same and to reduce the downtime.
3. Maintenance and repairing of syncrolift and rexroth shiplifts, Lower sheave & Upper Sheave, Gear box overhauling, Wire rope replacement.
4. Installation of Mechanical plants and equipment’s.
5. Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.
6. Perform duties of a Foreman as required / appointed for individual projects.
7. Ensure materials are of required standard prior to use, reporting damages when required.
8. Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets.
9. Attend any training for any activity required by the department.
