If a recruiter asks for money, stop the transaction before trying to prove the job is fake.
Common signals include a visa deposit, paid interview, “security clearance,” equipment charge or a request to move the entire process to a personal chat. A real company may use messaging for logistics, but the application should still connect to an official employer channel.
Preserve the evidence
Save the original email, full chat export, phone number, payment receipt, bank or wallet details, offer PDF, job URL and the name of the person who contacted you. Write down the timeline while it is fresh. Redact your passport number before sharing any public warning.
Verify before reporting
Check the employer's real domain yourself, search its official careers page and use MOHRE Offer Inquiry when the recruiter provides transaction details. If the offer cannot be verified, do not travel, resign or pay.
Use the right channel
For labour or employment issues, start with the current MOHRE contact and complaint channels. For suspected online crime, use the relevant UAE police eCrime channel. Signal's scam report form is useful for preserving a pattern for moderation; it is not a replacement for an official complaint.
