Before you resign, travel, or pay a recruiter, verify the offer through the official UAE employment process.
The UAE Government says a private-sector job offer is signed before the initial work-permit application. After the worker arrives or changes status, the signed offer is registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) as the employment contract. That makes the offer worth checking before you treat it as final.
Step 1: Compare the offer with the employer's real website
Find the company website yourself. Do not use the link supplied in an unexpected email. Check that:
- the sender's domain matches the company's official domain;
- the role appears on the company's own careers page or official ATS;
- the employer name, job title, salary, location and reporting line are consistent;
- the next step uses a company or government domain, not a personal email address.

Step 2: Ask for the transaction or offer details
Ask the employer for the transaction details needed to retrieve the offer. The official MOHRE Offer Inquiry service provides options for a job offer, a work permit with a job offer, and other contract services.
The service can request a transaction number, passport number, nationality, date of birth and a CAPTCHA. Enter personal information only on the official MOHRE domain. If the recruiter refuses to provide the details or pressures you to use a different website, pause the process.
Step 3: Match the offer to the contract process
The UAE Government states that the offer should describe both parties' rights and obligations and be provided in Arabic, English and, when requested, a third language the worker understands. The signed offer is attached to the initial work-permit application. After arrival or status change, the offer is registered with MOHRE as the employment contract.

Step 4: Never pay to unlock the offer
Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 prohibits an employer from charging a worker recruitment and employment fees, directly or indirectly. A request for a visa deposit, recruitment fee, “security clearance,” paid interview, or payment to release an offer is a major scam signal.

If the offer cannot be verified
Stop sending money or identity documents. Save the email headers, chat history, phone numbers, bank details, PDF, website URL and payment receipt. Contact MOHRE through its official channels and report suspected cybercrime to the relevant UAE authority. Do not publish a passport number or other personal identifier when warning other candidates.
