A contract is a decision document, not a formality.
Before you sign, make sure the document says who employs you, what you will do, where you will work and what you will be paid. The UAE Government explains that a private-sector offer describes the parties' rights and obligations and is used in the work-permit process.
Run these checks line by line

If a recruiter says the contract will be rewritten after you pay, travel or start, pause. Verify the offer through MOHRE Offer Inquiry and keep both versions.
Ask about ambiguous language
Get written answers to “all inclusive,” accommodation, transport, commission, overtime, relocation, repayment clauses and any deduction. You do not need to win an argument during hiring; you do need a record of what was agreed.
Never pay to receive your contract
